The Bear River High School girls’ varsity lacrosse team can add two more wins to their now undefeated record after a busy week of competition – despite the rain and snow.

A trip to cross-country rivals, the Box Elder High Bees on March 23 earned the Lady Bears an 18-4 victory. Bear River High also outshot the Bees 27 to 6 for shots on goals. Not only that but the Lady Bears had more ground balls than Box Elder – 65 to 20 and had more assists with nine.

Sophomore Marley Kierstead continues to dominate in goals scored for the Bears. She contributed eight that day. Senior Bailey Bjorn scored three goals along with sophomore Bentley Lorimer.

Rylee Chapman, a sophomore at Bear River High, had nine ground balls. Savanna Pehrson, Bjorn, Lorimer and Kierstead each had eight.

The Lady Bears followed up that win with another big victory on Thursday, March 25, at Bear River High School. They defeated East High School 17-2 as they hosted the Leopards on the Bear River High football field during a downpour.

Next up for Bear River High girls’ lacrosse is a trip to Springville High School on March 30. On April 1, the Bears will travel to Mountain Crest High School for a region game set to begin at 5 p.m.
