SPORTS - "Season ends in Dixie for Bear River boys' basketball"

A trip to St. George's Dixie High School on Friday, Feb. 26, marked the end of the Bear River High School boys' basketball team's 2020-21 season.

The Bears' 80-49 loss in the 4A state playoffs to Dixie High ended their season with an overall record of 10-13. In the traditionally tough, and highly competitive Region 12, Bear River finished the season 2-8.

During the Bears' first round of the 4A state playoffs they hosted Ben Lomond High School on Feb. 23, beating the Scots 56-36. Freshman Gherig Marble led the Bears on the scoreboard putting up nine points. Senior Kace Jones and junior Daxton Sorensen each contributed eight for the Bears in their victory over Ben Lomond. Marble and Jones also led in rebounds with seven each.
