NEWS – “Victim identified in Tremonton crash"

The Tremonton Garland Police Department has provided further information on Tuesday night's fatal car accident in Tremonton and have released the name one of the drivers in the accident as Teresa Mosely-Gunter, 64, of Brigham City. She suffered severe injuries in the accident and passed away.

After further investigation into the crash, police have stated that Mosley-Gunter was traveling eastbound on the westbound lane at 1050 E. Main St., when her car struck another car traveling westbound in the proper lane and then another vehicle parked on the side of the road.

Reports also added that Mosley-Gunter was driving without the car's headlights on. She was transported to Bear River Valley Hospital by ambulance and subsequently airlifted to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden where she succumbed to her injuries upon arrival.

Individuals in the other two vehicles were uninjured in the accident.

The accident is still under investigation but authorities have stated that alcohol use is suspected to be a contributing factor in this case.

Authorities are currently investigating a deadly crash that occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, in Tremonton that left the driver of one vehicle dead.

At approximately 7:47 p.m. officers with the Tremonton Garland Police Department, and other emergency responders, were called to a two-vehicle accident located at 1050 E. Main St., in Tremonton.

The driver of one vehicle sustained severe injuries and was transported to Bear River Valley Hospital. That individual later succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation and further information, including the names of those involved in the accident, have not been released by authorities until family members have been notified.

The Tremonton Garland Police Department is working with the reconstruction of the accident with the assistance of Utah Highway Patrol. Authorities with the Box Elder Sheriff’s Office, UHP and Tremonton Fire and EMS responded to the accident.
