GARLAND - July 13, 2021

What was once called Wheat and Beet Days is now Garland City Days and the new name is just one of many new additions to Garland City's annual community celebration.
While some traditions stayed the same such as the fun run, parade, fireworks and more, the 2021 Garland City Days celebration brought out crowds and fun - and a little friendly competition. The Tremonton City versus Garland City annual softball game was held Saturday, July 10, where this year the home team defended their turf and beat the team from Tremonton City.
On Friday, July 9, the Lil Miss and Lil Mister contest was held at the Garland City park. In the 2-3 year old age division Remi Miller was crowned Lil Miss and Grayson Evans earned the Lil Mister title. Royal Waldron and Brody Womack took home the crowns and titles in the 4-5 year age division.
This year's contest was sponsored by Garland City, Tanglewood Studios, Dr. Goodwin DDS, The Pie Dump, Bear River Bowl, The Grille, Kent's and Post Consumer Brands. Members of the newly crowned 2021 Miss Bear River Valley royalty helped emcee the event.
David Misrasi earned Garland City's Wheelon Award for service to the community and was honored on Friday night. Read that story on the link below.
